About DeCollaborators CIC

DeCollaborators CIC is a Christian, faith-based organisation rooted in the Bible, created to build a practical bridge between the church and the wider community. We help churches and community partners share the work they do beyond Sunday services – foodbanks, warm hubs, youth work, pastoral care, local outreach and more.

Rooted in Scripture, Open to the Community

DeCollaborators CIC is a Christian organisation. Our principles and approach are rooted in the Bible – especially in themes of service, justice, neighbour-love, stewardship and community care.

A bridge between church and community

Many churches do far more than Sunday services. They run foodbanks, cafés, warm hubs, children’s clubs, youth groups, mentoring, counselling, visiting, practical support and seasonal outreach.

Our role is to create a bridge:

  • Helping churches communicate clearly with their local community.
  • Making it easier for residents to find support, not just services.
  • Showing the practical side of Christian faith in everyday life.

Faith-based, community-facing

While our foundations are Christian, the services and tools we build are designed to serve whole communities, regardless of background or belief.

  • We highlight what churches and Christian organisations offer to everyone.
  • We also work with non-faith charities, CICs and local services where there is alignment in serving people.
  • We aim to reflect Christlike care through how we listen, design and communicate.
The goal is not just to say that churches care, but to show how that care is lived out, day by day, in real places with real people.
What we do

Media, Tools & Training for Everyday Ministry and Community Work

We build and connect digital tools that make it easier for people to discover local support, hear encouraging stories and grow in faith and community life.

DCRadio Directory

A simple community directory that helps residents find:

  • Churches and faith-based services (Church Hub).
  • Charities, CICs and local groups (Community Hub).
  • Mental health, wellbeing and support services (Wellbeing).
  • Everyday local places – cafés, libraries, parks, venues (Nearby).

DCRadio Hub

A faith-based radio app bringing together worship, teaching, testimonies, iCare stories and community updates – rooted in Christian faith, speaking into everyday life.

  • Morning devotionals, Bible series and worship.
  • Community stories and spotlights.
  • Space for churches and partners to share content.

iCare, DCTV & DCTribe

Supporting the ecosystem through:

  • iCare – 5Why stories and “Day in a Life” journeys from changemakers.
  • DCTV – short visual stories that show impact on screen.
  • DCTribe – training in storytelling, media and digital tools for churches and community groups.
Whether it is a Sunday service, a Wednesday foodbank, a Thursday youth club or a quiet pastoral visit, our aim is to help churches and partners tell the full story of what they do for their communities.
Research & development

A Research & Development Approach to Faith and Community

DeCollaborators CIC approaches its services through a research and development lens – especially through ongoing Masters and future PhD work on community media, storytelling and Community Wealth Building (CWB).

Designing and testing tailored solutions

We treat every tool and project as something to test, refine and improve in real church and community settings.

  • Listening first to churches and community partners.
  • Piloting new ways to share stories and information.
  • Adjusting formats so they work for real volunteers and staff, not just theory.

Feedback from partners is part of how we grow – it shapes what we build next.

Faith, impact and CWB

The Masters project focuses on how community media and storytelling are set up and used in practice. The planned PhD will explore how this work contributes to community wealth building – not only financially, but socially, spiritually and relationally.

  • Exploring how visibility supports local services.
  • Looking at how stories build trust and connection.
  • Considering how faith-based work contributes to shared community assets.
